Soso Soberekon offers N500m for Peter to fight Paul in boxing ring

The rift between music  duo P-Square appears to be taking a new and bizarre turn after Nigerian music executive and billionaire, Soso Soberekon, publicly offered N500 million to Peter Okoye to step into a boxing ring against his twin brother, Paul Okoye.

The offer was made on Sunday night while Peter was performing on stage. A viral video making the rounds on social media showed Soso in the audience holding up his phone with a bold message directed at the singer.

The text displayed on Soso’s phone reads, “500 Million Naira to fight your twin in a boxing match.”

Fans at the venue erupted as Peter acknowledged the gesture mid-performance, but he did not respond directly to the challenge.

From Music Royalties To Boxing Ring?

Soso’s offer comes at a time when the relationship between the Okoye twins is at an all-time low. The once inseparable P-Square brothers have been locked in a bitter public dispute over alleged financial mismanagement and music royalties.

The feud blew open after Peter accused Paul and their elder brother/manager, Jude Okoye, of diverting royalties and sidelining him in the group’s business affairs. Paul has since denied the allegations, insisting that everything was done transparently.

The fallout led to the collapse of P-Square’s reunion and reignited one of Nigerian pop culture’s most talked-about sibling wars.

Soso Joins The Drama

Known for his controversial stunts and big-money gestures in the entertainment space, Soso Soberekon’s boxing challenge has added another layer to the saga.

The music executive has in the past offered cash incentives to artists for stunts and collaborations. This latest move, however, targets the very heart of the P-Square crisis.
